Thread: Islington, London Parish Records Look Up - Please Help

I was wondering if someone could kindly look up parish records for the birth of William Braine born abt 1804 in Islington (on Williams marriage certificate it says his fathers name is John). I have not been able to find a suitable John Braine in the 1841 census that might be a match because I dont know his occupation. On Williams marriage certificate it states him as being 'out of business'.

I also cannot find any birth info on Williams son Edward William, born abt 1835 in Islington.

William was married to Philadelphia Brown, who died between 1843 and 1845. William remarried, to a Sarah Stockwell in 1847 (I have their marriage cert). I have found William and Philadelphias marriage entry through Pallots.

Many thanks in advance. Im in Australia so my research is limited to the internet mostly and Im having difficulty finding Islington records online .

Hi Notebook, thanks for looking.

The marriage you found between William and Philadelphia is correct however I think the birth details are wrong. Ive found the same birth record but the birth year of 1810 throws it out somewhat as throughout the census' Williams birth year remains at 1804 and on his death certificate in 1871 it has him as 68 years which makes his birth year abt 1803 which is more consistent when you match it to the census records.
