Hi Listers,
Can any one help me put a little meat on the bones here. Below is a list of siblings who were the children of James 1801[St. Mary's Newchurch in Pendle, Lancashire.] and their mother Susannah Catloe c1765. If you could help me by suggesting marriages or children I would be delighted. John Tattersall 6/8/1786 James 2/12/ 1787 Sarah 1/2/1789 Mary 11/4/1790 Abraham 1791 Benjamin 10/12/1792 Robert 5/5/1794 William 12/11/1797 Richard 27/1/1799 Susan 5/4/1801 Mally [Molly] 10/4/1803 Peggy 16/9/1804 Mark 1/11/1807 All of the children seem to have been born in the Newchurch Pendle Lancashire area. My best regards to all, Ray [Australia] |

How can you be so kind and yet so cruel?
![]() Mark and Miss Riley ring true. I think if I were to write any of the others in they would be best guesses, and little more. FHL, would that mean Family History Lancashire, or...........? Is there any way of getting a parentage to the TATTERSALL mentioned, perhaps from a parish registry lookup, please? Best wishes from OZ, Ray |

Hi Ray,
I found the marriages on the BIVRI discs. You would need to see the parish records concerning the entries and these can be viewed from a Family history centre in Australia. I dont know where in Oz you are so maybe this link will help... Sorry but I have no access to the parish records that you need. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/libr...ameset_FHC.asp |

Try looking at the Lancashire on line Parish Records ..
http://lan-opc.org.uk/ I transcribe for them .. all done by volunteers and a useful site to look at for anyone searching in Lancashire and it's free! I have come accross Tattersall in Over Darwen near Blackburn! Mattygirl |

Hi Light.. glad that you use it.. I used it so much that like a lot more members I thought it was time to put something back .. why I rarely come on here now!
We have a great group of people working away and all the time new records are being put on line. I have just sent off another 2000. baptisms for Over Darwen.. now 3200 more on the same church still to do. So do keep looking. Matty |

Mattygirl,
I have just come from the Lancashire project you mentioned. It looks great and have already found some of the ancestors, well done guys. AncestryAid=Mattygirl have done it again. Some time down the track I think I'd like to do a little transcribing as you say you do. Why would the be no mention of Goldshaw, or Pendle. I'm a touch more familiar with those names. Or did I miss them? Again thank you. Best wishes to you and yours, Ray Last edited by Hawks; 20-07-2008 at 06:47 AM. Reason: addition |

Hi Ray,
I am glad that you have found some names already, one reason why you haven't found Pendle or Goldshaw (is it Goodshaw? near Burnley?) could be that no one has transcribed them as yet. Why don't you volunteer to help .. people are welcomed with open arms lol and there is so much help from more experienced members on a daily basis. At first you work with your co-ordinator and you can choose which area you want to do as well .. and do as much or as little as suits you. So have a look at ..http://lan-opc.org.uk/ the Volunteer page on the left hand side. Regards Mattygirl |

I did a couple of years for FreeBMD and If I do transcribe again I would go with Lancs OPC.. Well done your doing a great job. |
