It said on both cenuses that she was born MacClesfield

Oh dear, now that as put the cat amongst the pidgeons so to speak
So it's possible Mary Ann married in Staffordshire and stayed there or she moved to Macclesfield with her parents and siblings and never married. AAAH.
Oh well I guess it's back to the drawing board
