Default Advice Wanted Should I Or Shouldn't I

Hi..Well here goes

I have recieved a copy of my grandmothers marriage certificate, the thing is my mum's cousin wasn't aware of her Aunty (my grandmother) getting married again until I phoned her and told her. The thing is now one of the witnesses to the marriage was my mother's cousins Aunty's husband Do I tell my mum's cousin who the witness was or do I keep mum and say nothing I just don't want to open a can of worms, but I just can't get my head around the fact that the marriage was kept so quiet.

Hope this makes sense to you.

Hi Pauline,

If it was me in the same position I would keep the information to myself. I gave out some information to an Aunt who I thought already knew the infromation I had. I wish I hadn't now.

If you are actually asked who the witnesses were, I don't think you have any other option than to tell.

Hi starlight.

Thankyou for your reply Yes you are probably right. I know my mum wants a copy...so If she decides to tell her cousin then it'll be out of my hands. I know during a telephone call to my mum's cousin I did tell her that I'd see who the witnesses were oooops
I wasn't expecting the certificate to show my mum's Aunty's husbands name.

I agree with Starlight. If your mum sees the certificate and wants to say anything, then it's up to her. Good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks for your input Pam. I'm going to try and put it aside now. Life is too short to be haunted by the past of what should have been.
