Might be worth making a note of..........Guardian and Observer archives will be launched online on 3 November. Editions of the Guardian 1821 - 1957 and Observer 1900 - 1975.

Free 24 hour access during NOVEMBER ONLY after which charge will be made.

Just seen this on another site:

Daily Mirror is in the last stages of testing before it goes online.

Initially dates are 1903 to present. Charges not known as yet.

Thanks for that Mary...the Guardian & Observer looks really good!

I have read it as you get a "24 hour" access in November..wonder if that means from wen you first login to it?!? I think it not free the whole of the month.... soo i will activate mine on a weekend day in the early morning to get maximum value!

Guardian online is available now.......!!!!!!...........just had a look and for some reason if I type in Pendered they give me a lot of articles about some bloke called Pender..........................lol
Have given up for now before eyes fall out their sockets...........lol

Looks now as if the Guardian are only doing a 24 hour freebie (bit of a con that as it was worder like the whole of November was free)
Don;t know if anyone else has tried it but think I'll stick with The Times..............found it easier to work around and at least it produced the right names I searched even if it turned out they weren't connected.
Be interesting to know if anyones had any luck.
