Good Morning everyone. Can anyone tell me what the initial N.D stands for? One of my ancesters was gardener N.D.

Hi Pauline

I have gardening Ancestors aswell, i think it means Non / Not Domestic Gardener

Oh! thank you Bev. So I guess it would be more a recreational gardener, which would explain him meeting his future wife in Matlock. Nice one Bev. Thanks....Sorry it's a long story, but I can picture him now looking after the gardens around Matlock and Matlock Bath in Derbyshire.
