You're all brilliant on this site, do you know that! Have since found out that my great-granny, Mary-Ann, had a twin brother called William! And they also had a sister, Maria. I haven't been able to find out anything about their parents, but I do know that when the parents died, all three of them came to Tiverton to live in Chapel Street with a family called the Holsgroves, although I don't think they were any relation.
But, heres the best bit! Mary-Ann knew her future husbands(and therefore my great-grandfather) first family! How about that? She might even have played with the children and chatted to his first wife, I don't know. I'll have to look into that a bit further. I'm over the moon about this. Couldn't tell though, could you? |
