Default AA's Starlight deserves a pat on the back

I saw a posting on AA - Starlight was offering to do US census look-ups, the upshot is I asked her to look for my American ancestors ( this family had been most elusive) and she sent me census returns for 1860,70 and 80, this was an amazing result, as other people had looked for them for me on Ancestry worldwide, and found nothing. I am so impressed with Starlight's research skills, and her kindness in giving time to others is extremely rare. From this experience I've learned to never give in - keep on prodding away and eventually you will have success. AA, and Starlight you are wonderful.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for that but there are many on this site that do the same thing in different areas. I started searching through the census' looking for my own ancesters. I then did lookups for the 1841 census. By doing this I found a more enjoyable way of coming across my own names. The 1841 census coming on-line has put a stop to most of these requests so it was a pleasure to search for yours and find some if not all. I hope you will now be able to get further now your brick wall is down.

Yes Starlight,

I'm certain I will now get further. You will have noticed I am new to AA and you have been the first person I have asked for help, if others are as helpful as yourself then there must/will be many happy members. Congratulations and well done to you all. Your kindness restores faith.

Hi Slizzy,

I have to agree, Starlight is an absolute asset to AA and it comes down to more than just lookups, theres so much she does behind the scenes too.
I first met star on another site where she was doing lookups(before this site was even thought about) and i posted my request and instantly i got my answer.
But also what star had said about others that do lookups we must not forget those either, because its people like that who make the site what it is.
But all in all Starlight you are a Star

P.S Star you can pay me later lol

Well done Star and yes, you do deserve a pat on the back. You certainly found a few of my lot and gave me pointers to follow through for more results which I did. We all say a 'Thankyou' on the posts but every so often I think you and all the rest who work so hard for the likes of me deserve so much more, Keep it up ......it's realy appreciated.

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...
