Interests in the Coates family of the durham area. They have lived in the Chester-le-Street, East Kyo, Stanley, etc areas. The menfolk have all been miners. Particularly trying to locate the birth of the ever elusive Thomas Chrisp Coate (Chrisp his middle name), pinpointed from his death he was born in August 1886, but as of yet I haven't hit on the right birth cert to ascertain his parents (his father is definately George Coates given on marriage cert).
