I have very little on my 4th Grt Grandfather and was hoping someone could help.
His name is Nicholas Crealy (Creely) and he was arrested and imprisoned in Smithfield, Dublin in 1847 for stealing a cow and sentenced for 7yrs. He was shipped out to Tasmania in 1848 on the 'Blenheim' arrv'd in Tasmania 1849.
He married Catherine Wallace (Brown) and had kids while here but he also sponsered a Thomas Creely b1838 out to Australia in 1856, I'm guessing a son from a marriage in Ireland. He may have had a wife in Ireland before coming out Jane? This is why I think Thomas is a son from a previous marriage. Also he may have had brothers and sisters with the names Mary Ann, Samuel, Sally, Thomas, Jane.
All I have is his name, Criminal record and that he was born around 1818 in Ireland, can anyone help............please
