Hi Yellabelly,
My Stewarts originated in Scotland and came from Glasgow to Cumberland in the 1870s, went back to Glasgow in the 1880s, then moved to South Wales by 1889. I'm not sure if there were Irish earlier connections, as I've only managed to trace one generation in Glasgow so far. There are 14 x James Stewarts there in the next generation back, so I'm saving up to check them out!Best of luck with your search. EmmyO |
