Hi Chiad Fhear,
That was me. If they were from Redruth/Camborne area I know exactly what part of my tree they were on and what family from Hampshire joined that line. I was given some information which I added to my tree which connected one of my lines to the Sheriff of Cornwall. This bit was ok, but I added some other information which I later found was wrong and landed up removing some of the important bits by mistake, including Tippett. Would Arthur have been born around 1904 or is that too early ? |

Hi Starlight
I'm at work at the moment and don't have access to my tree but I'll check when I get home and let you know.I don't have a lot on him but I do know his father was a stone mason and had 'Stanley' either as a first or second name. His mother was Effie Prisk and his birth date was 9 November ... same as mine but several years before me ... and he was actually born in Boston Massachusetts. ![]() As I said before, I haven't really started going up that tree yet but I will do when I get my own mum and dad's branches completed ... if they'll ever be complete! |

Hi Pips
I'd almost forgotten about the original post and was surprised to get your response over the weekend. I haven't really 'pursued' my wife's family yet beyond her parents but I do have a copy of the Marriage Certicifate for her grand-parents, Arthur Stanley Tippett and Effie Prisk from 3 Apr 1920 at the Wesley Chapel, East End of Redruth. He was 28 and she 25. I also have Ellis Island immigration records for them when they went to Quincy, Masachussets in the USA - Arthur in May 1920 and Effie in Dec 1920 - where my wife's father was born the following November. The Jun Q 1892 for Arthur Stanley T would fit with the information I have already. Thanks for your help ![]() |
