JOSEPH BATE TIPPETT was born Abt. 1842 in Tywardreath, St Blazey, St Austell District, Cornwall. He married ELLEN WOOLCOCK Bet. Oct - Dec 1866 in St Austell District, Cornwall, daughter of RICHARD WOOLCOCK and ELIZABETH. She was born Abt. 1849 in Lanlivery, St Austell District, Cornwall.

I didn't intend, to muddy any waters and if this, was with the John Best Tippett, I was going by your initial posting. re JOHN BATE TIPPETT.



During the visit he produced a hand written record of his knowledge of the family, gained from his mother and granndmother, that - surprise, surprise - I've done some follow-up work on and now have the line back to a JOHN BATE TIPPETT who was born about 1842 in Tywardreath, St Blazey and was married to ELLEN WOOLCOCK from Lanlivery. From various Census returns I've found five children for them plus details for three who survived.



The nearest John Bate Tippett, bapt. Tywardreath, 1842., I could find, was a John Best Tippett.
