We have had 4 inches of snow over night and it shows no sign of easing up. I was woken up at 7am by snow balls hitting the windows. There are 3 snowmen on the green outside. The kids are all home from school but I think they have just realized that it is cold and peace has descended for a while. I dare say that will change once they have warmed up a bit. The workmen that were meant to have been putting my new garden fence up are no where to be seen.

Only tiny sprinkling so far here and that's stopped and disappeared. Sky looks a bit grim but whether we'll get it or just manage to escape it I don't know.

It must be our neck of the woods Mary...we only had a sprinkling & it's nearly gone now. Although it's snowing at the moment, it's nothing to what other people have had.

Well.......was that it ? Was that winter ? We never had snow all day....... I was relieved at first then I had a look at my home town website and followed a link to bbc.northamptonshire to look at piccys peeps had sent in. Snowmen bigger than your average bloke, kids on sledges, lovely scenery.....I almost began to wish we'd had a load like that. Might have stopped the teenagers here having the 'I'm bored' syndrome. Wouldn;t go out.....too cold and nothing to do............stay in and play music ? No.....that was taboo as Bill was in bed not feeling so good so I was stuck with them being 'totally bored'.................lol
Oh well...................maybe tomorrow they just might have thought of something to do with their idle selves, like tidying bedrooms for a start (knocks head on brick wall!)

Well have it really bad today here in hereford it has not stopped snowing since 8 am and had hardly disappeared from yesterday. My oh is desperately trying to get home as most roads into hereford are blocked due to poor road conditions(no gritting been done), jack knifed lorries, accidents. So i dont know when he will be home.

take care all travelling

What little snow we had here in Liverpool, has slowly disappeared, sleet shower's now turned to rain. We have got off quite lucky compared to other part's of the country, if it's bad where you are, take care and wrap up warm, before venturing out.
