Thread: How bad is your weather?

lol @ synchronised wheelie bins..................what a picture that would make.
Hubby came home early.........went outside and surveyed the roof.......muttered something and now has retired to the pub.............don't sound like good news to me.
But youre right.............tiles can be replaced.............people can't. There's so much damage been done in different parts of the country, flooding and all sorts. You watch everyones insurance premiums soar next year as a result.
Mine went up after last years claim for a collapsed drain and back gates..............by the sound of it we'll need the bloomin back gates replaced again !!! Oh well...........tis only money.........................(finds a quiet corner for as a sob!)

Runaway boy hubby says.......well he's got to live somewhere so he's due sometime -not sure when cos nobody knows exactly where he is.................lol

Well its bad here too winds gale force,lost a few tiles like everyone, then a sign blew of building and decided to try and join me in lounge, glass not being replaced today, they are so busy

its suppose to calm down overnight hope so.

It sounds like your Hubby has got the right idea..... the pub sounds rather appealing, but in reality, I'll end up making the kids tea, washing up, putting the kids to bed, then having a soak in the bath (whilst being disturbed by kids asking to go to the loo!).

Hope your runaway turns up safely........ I Know we all think we're invincible at that age, but I wouldn't like to think I was out in this weather!

Lol everyone! The wind down here is worse than it was in 1987, which I can just about remenber. It's awful down here, it's really awful. God knows how many trees have been uprooted and the river Exe is getting high, and some roads have been closed. There's even a warning notice on Bickleigh Bridge, unless they've closed the bridge as well?
Earlier it seemed to die down a bit, now it's picking up again, and tomorrow is going to be eve worse!
Walking to work this morning was fun! Talk about Mary doing a Mary Poppins!!

Worse tomorrow ? Eeeek !!!! I'll have no roof left !! Might as well go live in the shed ! Or pop and see Jac in Spain.............Jac..........where are you ?? I've packed my bags !

In Hereford Sainsburys, Woolies, Iceland i believe have lost part of their roofs, so parts of the city centre has been closed.

The rain stopped this am but it is still windy here.

GOOD NEWS......

The wind has dropped here in Wakefield now, we've just got a slight breeze & rain.

I can't believe the difference in the space of an hour. Hopefully, the calm is now spreading south.

Well hubby said we'd be snowed in next week (think he was hoping for week off work ) but according to the weather site I looked at we're in for a bit of 'light snow' on Wednesday and Thursday....starting Tuesday night. Thats where I live.............not sure about the rest of the country though

Well, when I looked at the BBC weather site it said we were in for snow down here, but then I've known 'em to chop and change their minds!
