Exclamation AA's 2006 Summary

Hi all,

Firstly all the staff at Ancestry Aid would like to wish you all a very

!! Happy New Year !!

2006 has been a great year for AA. Our member base has increased and our free records topped 1,000,000. The site went from strength to strength and I for one am very proud of what ALL of us have achieved. Members, staff and owners alike. So a big thank you for your support.
We had the paid site at the beginning of the year but hated the fact that we were going against the whole reason behind AA, and that was to have a completely free genealogy community when we could give as much as we could to our members without them having to pay a penny. Thus we binned the paid site and returned to our roots of being free.
The year marched on and we have grown into a decent, friendly community that, I for one have noticed, are only to pleased to help each other. The comments we get from new (and old) members refering to how friendly this site is, is testement to how you all make this the friendliest genealogy site on the net. Again, thank you!!

So whats instore for 2007?
2007 will prove to be another great year for AA. The only downside to this is that, because I have to go away for a few months soon, you wont see the changes until the second half of the year, but I'm sure the wait will be worth it.
We plan to have the Free Records Project up and running, improvements to the current facilities on the site, extra features will also be added but more info on that later and AA WILL undergo another face lift nearer the end of the year.

Thank you all for all your hard work over the last 12 months since we relaunched AA back in January. You have all (members and staff) made us, the owners of AA, very proud that we started this great site. Heres looking forward to an even better 2007 !!!

My most kindest regards.
