Default Mock Bananas

For those who missed 'Going Bananas' on BBC 2 last night (footie was on BBC1 !) it was all about the banana shortage during and after the war and it seems there was a recipe for 'pretend' ones. Looked nothing like a banana all mashed up ....even the colour was a bit too 'orange' but some folk must have eaten them !

You need:
Parsnips
Banana essence

Method:
Finely peel then oil up the parsnip.

Add some essence. -not too much

Mash up the 'banana' and leave to cool

Spread on your sandwiches.

Apparently it's foul - but it might be a fun way to entertain your children or grandchildren!

(AKA Mary)

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...
