Question Clocks go back....or is it forward?

Sunday the 26th March (mothers day) is the first day of british summertime
Dont forget to put your clocks back saturday 25th March, and there was me hoping for a lay in well i'll get an hour (bonus)

now i know why i lost the hour and was grateful that i had an extra hour, if you understood that.

Not fair that we lose an hour on Mother's Day. You can tell some bloke thought this one up............lol
And why is when we 'gain an hour' I never notice but when we 'lose an hour' I feel shattered the rest of the day ?
