Default Never Give Up.

I have been pretty much absent from my computer for a few months, I was diagnosed with cancer, and thought my life was at an end, however, with the help of a brilliant surgeon (Mr Eaton) and first and formost the help and support of my wife and family, I now have years of my life left before me.

Mr Eaton has promised me at least another 10 years, which will take me up to 82, so thats not to bad. Speaking to my grand daughter, I have told her I now plan to live until I am 95, mind you, I don't know how my wife feels about putting up with me for that long

I really do think that the answer is "Never Give Up" except for smoking that is, we should all do that. I have smoked for 60 years, but have given it up, and am now saving £30/week, which I put in a savings account I have opened.

The strange thing is that the cancer in my bladder was undoubtedly caused by my years of smoking, but my heart, lungs, and blood pressure are all normal! How can that be explained?

Anyway, thats my rant over

Brummie.

That's really great news Brummie. I'm so pleased for you and your family.
I too am trying to give up smoking after 35 years of 20-40 a day. I know I can do it as I managed 3 months last year, until sadly my mother died. I tried stopping completely this time, but that didn't work, so my husband is holding on to my ciggies, and only letting me have 4 or 5 a day.

I wish you and your family, good health and long lives.
Best Wishes
