Thread: Help find out info Albert Derrick Tolley in British Columbia.

Hello,

Can anyone help me out on any info regarding Albert and his wife Beryl leaving England to live in White Rock, B. C.?

He was born Albert Derrick Tolley in 1924 in Stourport, Worcestershire, England.

He has a daughter Bronwyn born in England in 1950 so the move to Canada must have been after that date.
Any scraps of info would help me out. Both Albert & Beryl are deceased.

TOLLEY, Albert ``Derrick'', 20th July 1924 - 10th May 2011. Born in Stourport on Severn, England on the 20th July 1924, Derrick passed away with dignity at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock during the evening of May 10th, 2011. He was optimistic and courageous to the end. Derrick is predeceased by his wife Beryl in 2004 and by his son Martyn in 2006. Those who will miss him dearly include his daughter Bronwyn and granddaughter Kaitlin. He also leaves a great void in the lives of Susan and Lanny and Julie, Ashley and Erin. Dad was a special man who lived life with vigour. He will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28th Avenue, Surrey, Friday, May 20, 2011 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the White Rock and South Surrey Hospice Society, 15510 Russell Ave. White Rock, BC. V4B 2R3.

TOLLEY: Martin, born November 23, 1957, passed away peacefully with family and friends at his side on December 8, 2006. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Julie; his very special daughter Kaitlin; 2 caring stepdaughters Erin (Jason) and Ashley; grandson Brayden; his father Derek; his loving sister Bronwyn; nieces, nephews, many relatives and good friends. Tolley, Beryl Joan Myfanwy
Passed away with her family by her side on June 21, 2004 after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born December 4, 1920 in Garndiffaith, Wales.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Derrick; daughter Bronwyn; son Martyn (Julie); three grandchildren, Kaitlin and her mother Susan, Erin and Ashley; one great-grandchild Brayden; sister Thelma Lewis, niece Dr. Nichola Lewis in Wales; special friends Pauline and Colin Jackaman.
A special thanks to Dr. Prentice and Dr. Shukin, Dr, Reid, Dr. Sladen (retired) of St. Paul's Hospital and the staff at Palliative Care in Peace Arch Hospital and home care nurses for their compassionate care for Beryl.
