    Default household census of ontario 1913-1919 canada

    Does anyone know if who lived in what house in ontario between 1913-1919 has came out yet?

    I am trying to located where my great grandmother lived when she came to Canada in 1913 as a home child from scotland. Being 14 my great grandma was sent out to work while her two little sisters were adopted.

    I would like to find out where she was staying and who she was working for before she married my great grandfather in 1920. Sadly my great grandma died in 1926 so most of her life is unknown.

    Hi canadiangirl;
    The 1921 Canadian Census won't be out until 2013, however, I can't see how that would help for the years between the censuses (1911-1921). If you provide us with your great grandmother's maiden name and forename, perhaps someone on the forum can help. In the meantime, you can check out the info on Collections Canada.
    Good luck in your searches.

    Her name was Margaret Conlon/Connelly and she was a homechild who came to Canada in 1913. We believe she was sent out to work in the Leeds & Grenville area. Being 14 she was sent to be a house maid. While her two little sisters were adopted to a good family. I am trying to find out the Nominal Census - List of all persons living within a dwelling (house, institution, hospital, etc). I like to know whom she may have been working for until she married my great grandfather in 1920.

    We believe she may have worked for a woman named Julia Brown, whom lived in Leeds & Grenville. This woman was a witness at my g-grandma's wedding.
