i wonder if you can help me, i am trying to trace family members in edmonton alberta canada, i have got my grandfathers nephew and wife they where blanchard winchester born 1914 and d.1959 edmonton. and his 2 wife violet b.1913 -d1997 edmonton. i am looking for a son richard[dickie] and roberta the daughter was the eldest i believe her mother was his 1 wife and richard was his adopted son, i would be greatfull fr any help.thank you for reading my message.

Sorry, but I’m not very familiar with doing searches in Alberta. Hopefully someone else will come along with more help. I don’t know if this is proper (the moderators may edit this) but I’d suggest the Rootschat Forum. Great help with Canadian research! Go to the Canada section, and post “Albert look-up please” in the title of your post. It’s tough searching for such recent dates in Canada, our privacy laws are very strict. See the Alberta Vital Statistics website below. So, the way to find information is through newspaper BDM announcements, cemetery records, city directories, etc. By contacting a library, or a provincial genealogical society, they will do searches for you. Or you can try RAOGK.
