    Hi Caroline;

    We need some more info. First I am going to assume your grandmother etc are from Canada, as that is were you posted this Second, do you know your grandmother's maiden name and were she and Donald DALLAS married? in Canada or elsewhere? Third, Canada is a bigggg place you need to narrow things down geographically and chronologically! Do you know which Province they were in and when? Even better if you can narrow it down to a town or city in a specific province. There are only a few of the 10 Provinces that use counties, so if your ancestors were from Alberta, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island (PEI) and you don't know the town, perhaps you know the county. The other 4 provinces, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Newfoundland as well as The Yukon, The Northwest Territories and Nunavut do not use counties.

    I hope I or someone here can help you.
