    Hi, My great-aunt married Ted Masters from Shenley Bucks and in researching this family I have a note of quite a few Masters, let me know the names of yours and I will see if there is a connection.

    hi

    i am researching my families in iver and have come across the surname of masters in a couple of books that i have, the details are;1/

    mary masters married to edward priest of iver gained an apprenticeship on 16th june 1729 in iver.

    2/three families of masters living in iver in 1821

    richard

    john

    james.

    first world war casualty;

    william charles masters.private,21374,10th battalion,south wales borders.

    killed in rance on 10th july 1916 aged 31,served at flanders.

    born on 3rd december 1887 in brentford,the son of william pusey masters.

    he attended iver school and worked as a labourer, he lived in blacksmith's lane and swan row.

    he was the husband of annie louisa sims(formerly masters) of 23 stormness road.southend on sea.

    dont know if this helps in any way, but hope so.

    I have only gone back to 1760 with my Masters so at this stage do not have a Mary Masters.I do have a Richard, John and James in my tree all born abt 1790+ I have been unable to link William Charles Masters with my tree but I do have Sims in my tree but cannot get a link. Many thanks for the information..
