Hi My mothers youngest brother was left in Australia during the war due to injuries at sea, he went on to marry a nurse called Jean and
went on to have two children Micheal and Jennifer Mary. Micheal drowned as a child, and the couple split up. All I know of James is he spent the late sixties in Fitzroy Melbourne and died around 1970/71. I am looking for Jennifer Mary who will be in her 60's now.
I do not know what she knows of the family, but her father was under his mothers maiden name when he went to sea as he was under age to enlist. O'Brien was her name. The family came from Cork in Ireland. If anyone knows of this lady or is part of her family please contact me.
