Thread: What happened to Alwyn Davies !!!

I am looking for more information on my Great Uncle - Alwyn Davies he was born in 1910 in Blaengwynfi, Glamorganshire he emigrated to Australia in 1927 and travelled to Brisbane on the ship "Largs Bay" he was 16 he then went to Sydney and he met and married Marge Brown in 1940 she was born in Burnie, Tasmania i would love to find out what happened to both of them after that. Could he have been a fireman? There's an Alwyn Davies (27yrs) mentioned on the Australian Historic Newspapers website Home - Trove as being injured in a great fire in a Sydney Woolstore in 1935 - age is only a little out. Put in "Alwyn Davies" in the search to see the articles. Can't see any other possibilities on there. You could try to find their wedding also, but I'm guessing that Marge was her nickname so I haven't tried. Try various spellings.
Can't find a death for him in the NSW online registers under Davies or Davis but they only go to 1980.

Thankyou tawyn, i don't know about the fireman bit i would have to look further into that one, i have got the marriage certificate for them and on there her name is Marge Brown, but after that i have come to a brickwall.
