Tamworth General Cemetery also appears on The Australian Cemetery Index. This Index is being updated all the time and has pictures of just about every grave. You can search by Cemetery or do a name search. At the moment they are mainly doing New South Wales with 555 cemeteries listed, but they are starting on cemeteries from the other states. Queensland is the next main one with 158 cemeteries. I have found this index invaluable when looking for deaths of relatives.

Thanks Kate and Bandit for your replies..One of our members was searching for info in regards to his Mum surname Short who lived for some time in the Tamworth area. Kate you might have seen the posting on this one..All finds however due to the dates in question have to be sent via pm..I agree Bandit_ Its a good site.
