Thread: Grace Mathieson Lookup Please

Could someone lookup a Grace Mathieson born about 1923 believed to be in Antrim to Thomas Mathieson & Jane White, as this was my mother's Half sister, who last was known to be living in Rexdale in Ontario,Canada back in 1974,was then married to a man named Stratton but all attempts to find her birth and marriage have not been successful so any help on this mattter would be much appreciated as I do not even know if she is still living or has died, it would be nice to add a bit more information on her on my family tree.

Thomas Mathieson & Jane White’s marriage is registered in Belfast July – Sept 1919 Volume 1, page 291. You can obtain a photocopy of that from GRO Roscommon for €4. www.groireland.ie/

As far as I am aware, births from 1922 onwards in Northern Ireland are not searchable on-line and you’d need to ask GRO Belfast to search for you. (There is a fee for searching as well as for the certificate if they find it). www.nidirect.gov.uk/gro

I have found that bit out and yes I do think it is the right thomas as I know he had a twin brother Joseph who died in 1960 and is buried in belfast. but thanks for that info any way, will have to check the GRO in belfast for more info.
