Thread: George Allen

Hi,



Am trying to find out more about the family of George Allen b1876 in Antrim,Northern Ireland. His father was Ezekiel Allen b1851, a bricklayer.

George's sister Mary Jane Allen married Joseph Orr in 1894, a half-brother,Frederick Allen married Mary Brady in 1914 & a half-sister,Margaret Allen married Charles Garvie in 1924.

Does any one have any connection with this family?

There's only 1 Ezekiel Allen in the 1901 census, at 66 Aberdeen St, Belfast (aged 49). Could be George's father?

Yes this the George's father. Unfortunately have been unable to move much further in my Allen family history.

Did you pick up that there was an Ezekiel Allen renting a house and yard in William St, Shankill, Belfast (plot no 16) in Griffiths Valuation in 1860? Could be the father of the Ezekiel in the 1901 census?

There’s a death on the LDS pilot site which might be him, Belfast Jan – March 1884 Volume 1, page 223, aged 66.

Ezekiel's father was John Allen, a shoemaker. That's all I know about him. I have no idea when or where he was born (but have guessed about 1830) or who he was married to.
