Thread: Seeking McConnell, possible links to Bailey from Belfast Northern Ireland

Hi my name is Kerryanne Marsh and i am currently seeking McConnell surnames possibly from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The only link i currently have is my Grandad Thomas Hugh McConnell who was Born around 1929, he moved to Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England seeking work. Met and married Gwendoline Ruth Knight in 1954/5. This family could have possible links to the surname Bailey from a street called Ambleside Avenue, Belfast, Northern Ireland . I unfortunately have no knowledge of the belfast area as i am from Stoke on Trent, England.

Does the marriage certificate have Thomas Hugh McConnells fathers name on it? If it does you should be able to trace him through the 1911 census which is free to search and view on the National Archives site. Hope this helps!
