This is a bit of a strange request. A few years back I connected with a then unknown relative, and have since then, exchanged cards and family newsletters at Christmas. Today, I received the last card I sent (5 months ago) with the sticker from the post office, "gone away".



I fear that this relative, may have passed away but cannot find an obit online.



Has anyone encountered this type of reply from a post office? and am I correct in my assumption.



Can anyone steer me in the right direction for finding an obit sometime during the last 18 months from Arbroath?



Any assistance greatly appreciated.
