Thread: Starting a tree

I was looking at how the new AA tree-maker works, prior to adding any family info, which I'd like to do on an individual basis.



Being unfamiliar with the layout, I clicked on 'Branch' and found three surnames (Dunne, Smith, Young) already there, despite never before having entered any info on my newly-activated tree.



To my knowledge, none of those surnames feature in my family tree, but it seems I can't delete them. Why are they there, and how do I get rid of them, please?

As Star has said, the new tree maker is not ready yet. The tree maker that you are currently looking at is the old one.

The new tree maker is set to go live in roughly 10 days. I recommend that you wait for the new one. It will be much more user friendly plus the old tree maker will eventually be phased out anyway.

As you suggest, I will wait till the new tree maker is available. I didn't see the announcement - obviously too much 'Christmas spirit'!
