A good tip for you all to increase your chances of others looking at info you post on the boards with reference to names you are looking for is to include the name in the thread title.



Reasons:

  1. It will be easier for people to see and it will also catch their eye if they are interested in the same name.
  2. Google and other search engines pay more attention to the thread title than they do the actual thread. If someone does a search for a name in a search engine and that name is in your thread title you have more chances of outside interest looking at your thread.
Examples:



If you are looking for information on the name Smith and your thread title is Need Help the chances are that there are alot of other threads with the same title so it may get over looked.

However, if your thread title is Need Help with Smith or Looking for Smith etc your chances of success are greatly increased by existing members aswell as external people searching the Search Engines.



Try your best to use your keywords in your thread titles. Your success rate WILL increase.
