This is a formal announcement to all members to inform you of upcoming work on AA.
As you know, I am always trying to improve AA. Over the last few days I have been learning new methods of web design to make the following improvements:Basically, I have been reading up on how web designers are improving their site designs with their disabled members in mind. More info can be found here:
- Better accessability for the disabled.
- Better use of CSS.
- Better XHTML with a tabless layout.
http://www.accessibility101.org.uk/index.htm
To that end I have decided to do my utmost to bring AA into complying with these directives.
What this means?
I am currently working on the redesign of the site to comply (as best I can) with these guidelines. This work will probably take me a few weeks. Once complete I will then over write the current site pages with the compliant pages. NO INFORMATION WILL BE LOST !!
I am sure that you will all agree that this is a welcome change. Please post any concerns that you may have to this post.
In the next few days I will be posting a demo of the front page for you to view.
The forums will NOT change at all. They will stay exactly the same.
Thanks all. Ill keep you posted on the work.
Kindest regards.
