What colours are the forum?

I'm interested in knowing what colours you all have when logging in to AA's forums.

The Home page has marroon on it and green and blue. but when I log on it comes here and not to the home page.
This page which is where your post it is turquoise round the edges(and we like turquoise) and then olivey green bars across above which is a thin lime green colour stripe the page is whiteish. Reply to thread is white lettering on orange. Tweet is blue is a lighter blue box. There is a turqoise band at the top then olive green fading and then more turqquoise and a where I am typing is a white box with thin gold edging and a strip of grey. Below this box is an orange line and then some more gren lines etc.

Thanks Lola. I can get two different colours but neither seem just the same as yours. If you scroll to the bottom of the page do you have a drop down box? Bottom left just above 'contact us', if so how is yours set? Are there two options?

Do you mean the one that says life/earth. When you click it is says quick style chooser and ancestry aid. What is quick style choose? Shall I click and find out?
I chose ancestry aid and now it is just white with fine yellow/gold bands round the reply boxes and blue grey bands across between the post boxes.
It is very plain and I rather like it.
That is this page. The other page with lists of post is also the same coulours sort of grey blue and white but it has small green and orange boxes? besid some posts.

Thanks Lola. I always use the 'quick style chooser Ancestry Aid' as I find it easier on the eye than life earth. I'm wondering if other members pages default to life/earth but they too may find the cool colours of Ancestry Aid more soothing and easier to read.

Actually I think I shall change back because though I like these rather plainer colors better I find the pale blue grey print hard to read . Now I know it's there I may well flip back and forth. A few sites use this grey/blue colour but it is all a question of personal preference. When I finally found my way back onto Ancestry Aid the colours struck me as being very welcoming. and the print was easily readable.
Now tell me why I haven't got smilies on my reply bar please. What do i click?
Changed back and it was too vibrant after the cool so back here again on the Ancestry Aid.

Hello Lola ,

On the task bar just above my opening line on this reply you should have various boxes, one being the capital A drop down which has the range of colours available, to the right of this is a little yellow happy face click on it for a selection of smilies. If you use Go Advanced when replying to a post you can get a bigger selection of smilies.

I'll be interested to know which colour choice other members prefer. For me it has to be Ancestry Aid and it's calming colours.

No nothing at all on task bar(blue grey) but when I click that go advanced I see these icons beneath the box. Thank you. Now all I need is the different colour typeface?

I'd forgotten about the alternative colour scheme, and I find it easier on the eyes. Or does change make a rest? Anyway for the moment I have gone back to the Ancestry Aid colours rather than Life earth. Interestingly these colours are often found on other forums using the same software.

I certainly prefer the Ancestry Aid calm colours, Brian. I wonder which choice our members prefer? I wanted to make members aware they have a choice.
