Hi George, yes I think it is a package for family trees . You do not have to follow up with the subs to A******y. I think it is above board,You can buy them in computer shops etc. I have got a FTM 2006 it is ok. Yes I think you have to download to your computer and so have to be on the computer - but not on the internet touse it. [well I think so]

    George,
You do not have to be online to use it, but I think you have to activate it on line. After that it works happily off line.

No, you (I think need to activate the software online.) BUT you do NOT need to give credit card details UNLESS you want to use the website. By not linking to the website subscription service, you do not get any hints. The website 'hints' at possible records for people on your tree. These can be very useful, or a complete red herring!

    George,
There is the option of contacting the seller and asking if this is so and opening a dispute if the product is not as described. What you are getting with this product it seems is a free 3 months subscription providing you then agree to take out a further 9 month sub.
Even with a free introductory offer to such sites one needs to enter details of bank card but with A******* one may cancel at any time- usually.
BUT do you want to then have to pay for a further nine months sub... and if you don't then don't buy it. But do ask the seller first.
    Regards
    Lola

    Thank you Lola

That seems to have cleared that up, I think I was at cross purposes with the person who was going to order it for me back in the UK, I do want to enrol for any extension on the time,

    Thanks again

    George
