Thread: AncestryAid Member Announcement

Hello Everyone,

Two of our members, Brian2009 and Lola5, are going to be joining us as AncestryAid moderators. Slizzy and The Lady Marion are taking some time off from moderating the forum. Both Slizzy and The Lady Marion have been exceptional moderators. They have both been a treasure to this forum and to me. Brian2009 and Lola5 have been strong contributors to the forum and I am excited to have them moderating along with Pejay.

I also wanted to take this time to ask you for your assistance with a project I am working on.

Every day we receive new members to this forum. For some of them, ours is the first family history site they have visited. I would like to assist those members by providing them a resource guide and I would like to fill it with tips and resources submitted by other members of the forum.

If you have a tip (or tips) that you feel may be helpful to members just starting out, please send them to me. I am open to most anything that you have found helpful such as how to best use the forum, tools you like, other sites you found useful and why, anything you feel may help. I will be also be taking some information from prior posts made in the links, hints and tips section but if you know of a particularly good post please feel free to send that to me as well.

Thanks to all the members for their help and support and if you see one of the new or prior moderators online feel free to send them your well wishes and support.

Just popped by to see what's been happening, can't stay as it's way past my bedtime.

But, I do want to offer my congratulations to Brian and Lola; you will both make great Mod's. I hope you enjoy your new roles.
