Thread: Removing Records?

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me how to remove a record on my tree, entered by mistake, there doesn't appear to be a delete button, although there is an edit button.

Click the Edit Record button, use the backspace button to remove the offending info then click update record, Hope that helps.

Hi Big Don,
I've tried that, but then I get a message saying enter date for the event, and the record won't go away.
The thing is, I have two people with the same name, but different dates of birth, and I put a burial on the wrong one, so I want to remove the whole record, but so far the only way I can see to do that is to remove the person and start all over again. Have you any more suggestions?

Hi Thelma,
Once you have backspaced the record to remove it you have to trick the computer into thinking you have added the date, so just put a full stop in the date box and untick the little box at the bottom, then click update.
