Greetings:
If you find that you are receiving too many emails for each reply to a thread you have posted on you can easily unsubscribe to that thread. Option 01: Go to your user control panel (your account). To do this click the Your Profile button at the top of the page. On the left side you will see Subscribed Threads. Uder that click on List Subscriptions and then select the threads that you wish to unsubscribe to. You will then no longer receive an email regarding that thread. Option 02: If you do not wish to receive any emails AT ALL from any of the threads that interest you, you can do the following: Go back into your account. Under Settings & Options on the left, look for Edit Options. Click on that and then look for the box titled Default Thread Subscription Mode. In there is a drop down box that you can use to select what type of notification you would like or to not be notified at all. Hope that helps some of you. I know some members were not aware of this feature. Kind regards. |

Jon, sorry to be a pain, and I know I'm just being stupid, but in spite of your very clear instructions I'm still tearing my hair out trying to halt the flood of emails that arrive because of people replying to threads that I'm subscribed to.
I do exactly as you say until I get to " select the threads that you wish to unsubscribe to ". But how ? I simply can't see any way of doing that. What am I missing ? I thought I'd cracked it by clicking on the link at the end of the emails - I had to log in each time, and then was told that my subsciptions to those threads were cancelled, but it didn't work, and the emails kept coming. I know the answer is going to be obvious, but I'm now past the stage of being embarrassed about being thick, so could you please help ? Oh ,and while I'm at it, I also can't see any means of editing my posts any more . . . Thanks, anny. |

Hi Anny,
When you get to "select the threads you wish to unsubscribe to" basically what you do is tick the little white box at the side of each thread and when you have selected all the ones you want go to the bottom of the page and use the drop down box to select the option you want. If you dont want any more emails, select "No email nitification". Let me know if that helps you. Kind regards. |

Also Anny,
You should now be able to see the edit button on your posts so that you can edit your own posts. Please let me know if you are able to do so. Kind regards |

Another easy alternative to unsubscribe from threads is to simply go to your account, on the right is a list of all the threads you are subscribed to. If you look at each one you will see 2 links "Reply & Unsubscribe" clicking unsubscribe will remove that thread completely from your email subscriptions.
Kind regards. |

Thankyou very much Jon.
I knew it was going to be something obvious. I'd tried ticking on the white boxes, but never found the drop down boxes. Doh. I unsubscribed from 154 treads last night, and when I logged on this evening my mailbox was empty. What a result ! Both methods worked. Now I just have to make sure I don't get all subscribed up again before I go away for three weeks, in case I come back to a log jam of emails. Thankyou for your help. And yes, I now have a Delete box for my posts. Thanks for fixing that , too. anny /Anne. |
