Thread: Moving forward on Family Tree

Hi Jon,
I've just started my tree, but I can't find a way to move forward on my tree without going into separate people. I don't know if you'll understand what I mean, but it always goes back to the root and I get mixed up when I try to move forward on the names, (they are all the same virtually)

Hi Thelma,

When you are in Pedegree View you can click the Details button on each person. There is an option there to move that person to root. That way you can then add more relations to that person.

I've tried putting my tree in pedigree view, (I'm thinking that this is where the root person is at the top and the others underneath) but it won't do it, I've got the root at the side and the rest running across. sorry to keep troubling you.

No problem,

If you click the details button below one of the people running along the side and then click Move To Root in the bottom right corner of the popup box, it will move that person to the root of the pedigree view:
