Exclamation Vital Records Update

I have recently been working (for many hours) on a revamp of the vital records system. Improvements have been made in the following areas:

  1. Visual enhancements: The system is now cleaner looking for ease of use for all. (see screenshots below).
  2. Searching: The searching facility as a whole has been improved to make searches more accurate and completely limit the "freak" displays of random records.
  3. Submitting: It is now easier to enter a record to the database as you will see upon its use.
  4. Editing: As you know, with the current version, we included the facility to edit your record if a mistake was made or you simply wanted to update it. The current version used a password to access and edit the record. This has now been scrapped. The new system uses your current login status meaning that you do not have to enter any passwords etc. When clicking the edit button of a record the system will recognise wether you are the owner of that record automatically, if you are not the owner you will be denied access to the record. This makes things alot easier for you.
The whole system has been greately improved for a completely better experience.
The current records that are in the database WILL NOT be altered and will stay intact meaning that THERE WILL BE NO REQUIREMENT TO RE-SUBMIT RECORDS.

Screen shots:

This is the main page of the Vitals.

This is the Add Birth page.

After spending about 25 man hours to get where I am so far, I have only just completed the required files for the births section of the vitals. I have still yet to complete the deaths and marriages sections.
Because of this time factor the new system will be activated when the site shuts down to go back to being a free site. So, the new vitals system will be online at the end of May.
I really do hope that you will all like the new system and that it will encourage you to use it more as I find that this seems to be the most unused area of the site.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO ADD MORE RECORDS TO THE CURRENT SYSTEM AS THE COMPLETE DATABASE WILL BE MOVED TO THE NEW SYSTEM UPON LAUNCH.

I would just like to thank Suey for allowing me to use the great photo of her grandfather for the main heading of the system. Thanks very much Suey.

Thanks for reading.

Kind regards.
