Thread: AA4 Partial Launch

To all those who have pointed out my spelling error on the email sent out, I thank you. Silly error on my part.

Welcome back!



As you can see we have partially launched the new AA4. There are still parts to the site that have to yet be completed. Please bare with me on this.



Still to do!

1. Records Search Page - This is currently under consrtuction and I expect the new version to be available soon.
   
2. Message Boards - I am still waiting for the new version of the software we use. ETA is a few weeks away yet. As soon as I have it the boards will be changed to match the rest of the site.
   
3. Online Tree - This is my problem child. The Tree system has to be completely re-designed due to a legal dispute with a large company. Unfortunately, for now the tree has to stay closed because of this legal matter. I will try to complete the work as soon as I can but I must point out now that this could take a few months!
   

Whats New?

1. The Network (my secret project) is complete and is ready for use. Here you can enter your surnames and automatically have them matched to other similar names from other members. As mentioned in a previous post, the old surnames database has now been deleted and replaced with a new, optimised one for this system. Please make good use of this facility. Our testers have spoken very positivly of its great potential.
   
2. The Free BDM records area has now been revamped for ease of use. Take a look, you can now add you records with ease and edit them with even more ease.
   
3. The guide to genealogy that was written by our members (names at the bottom of each section) has also been published. This is a very extensive guide. My hat goes off to those that wrote it.
   
4. The design. You can see that we have re-designed the site with a better and fresher look and feel.
   

Please have a good look round and leave any feedback ,to this post, you may have. Also, if you find any "bugs" then please reply to this post and I will be sure to fix it.



More info on the remaining outstanding jobs will be posted here as and when they are complete.

You can also add these names to the counties forum or surnames forum.

Hello to all , I received a email saying that Sandi1212 replied to my thread AA4 Partial Launch , but I can't find this thread ...forgive me for being so stupid in this matter ,but my only excuse is I'm still new ,can anyone help me ? I have looked every where ....meanwhile ....have a good laugh on me ...Rosebud1
