Thread: 3 Phases Of AA4

Greetings all,



By way of a further update for AA4.



I can now confirm that I am in a position to give more info on then next few months for AA. AA4 will now launch in 3 seperate phases:



Phase 1



The main features of AA, excluding the forums and the tree maker, will be launched in August 09 (next month). This will include the following:

• The main page of the site.
  
• The Census pages.
  
• The BMD Vitals pages.
  
• The database search pages.
  
• A Genealogy guide.
  
• Any other minor pages (terms, copyright etc)
  
• The secret project :-)
  

These pages will go live in August and will include the new design for AA4.



Phase 2



Estimated in September / October, the new forums will go live. These were planned to be launched with the main site in August but the development of vBulletin 4 is taking longer than expected.



Phase 3



The tree maker will be redesigned and optimized. As yet I am unable to give a date on this as it is a major undertaking on my behalf. More news as and when.

CURRENT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST



The August launch of the main pages will see AA closing for a minimum of 3 days whilst the site is updated. Details and progress will be left on a default home page and you will gather any information on the re-opening from there.
