Thread: Server authentication message

I am trying to use the 2008 Platinum version of Family Tree Maker but keep getting a "Authentication with the server failed" message. I assume this is why I cannot access my Ancestry.co.uk account from within FTM. Please can someone tell me how to solve this/these problem(s).



Also, is it possible to import an Ancestry Public Member's Tree into your own family tree?

Yes it is possible to import an Ancestry tree.

• Open your ancestry tree
  
• Open overview page
  
• Manage my tree in tools - right hand side
  
• Export tree
  
• Add gedcom to AA tree
