Hi there,

I have registered and filled in my family tree, just the initial information, but now I can't work out how to get back into it, I keep getting the same information to fill in again. What am I doing wrong?

Did you add yourself plus your parents . If not, you will need to start again but this time add all three initial people and then your tree will exsist. If you did not add these 3 people you did not finish the initial process and your tree was not created.

I didn't put my name on or my parents as it is my husbands tree I am investigating. I will try again and incorporate his tree into my own.

Yes, you will have to start again from the beginning. It doesn't matter if you start with your husbands name as long as you add his parents as well.

I put my husbands and his parents name on the form, I have also tried another three times with my own family but to no avail, it will not accept my records. I'm probably doing something wrong here but I can't fathom out what it is.

When you have added the first three names, and named your tree are you clicking on Finish ?

Yes, I do click on finish, then I get a message at the top of the page saying 'error=permission.

When you register for the tree maker, are you putting your user name and password exactly as you do when signing itto the site. (Using the same case) ?

I've been off line for a while, but yes I do put my user name and password exactly the same. I'll keep trying though.
