Thread: Gedcom query

Daft question - related to this!

I've similarly loaded two trees (copied from my Ancestry(.co.uk) trees rather than FTM) and now I want to update the trees here again.

Does uploading them again into AncestryAid (using a new GEDCOM file) just overwrite what's already here? (I don't want to end up with numerous copies of the trees on this site.)

If you are using a different gedcom it might be safer to go into your trees. Delete the tree. Then start again adding the new gedcom.

Ta muchly! I'll try that with one of the two trees and see how it goes. As long as it doesn't cause any problems, I'll update the other soon.

You could also open another tree and download the gedcom before removing the first one.
