Not quite sure about the 'new link' perhaps I am not grasping the concept. I have spent days searching in births and deaths for my gandmothers details and try as I may I cannot find either details she was Mary Agnes Lucas born 1885 and died Mary A Hatton abt 1935 in Salford Lancashire but I cannot find anything. I can find details for my mother and her siblings. Please could you advise?

Hi i just checked too nothing , when roughly did you add them to BMD please.

I have been searching for days I know that on the 1891 census it says Mary A Lucas age 6 and I know that she died just before her 50th birthday abt 1935 but cannot find any entries on the data base. I have searched all records then separately in each category still no joy. I shall have to go to our local registry office and see if they can help. Thanks for the confirmation that I am not going loopy.

Hi Sandra,

Ancestry Aids BMD system is for members to add information of certificates that they have, graveyards they have transcribed and parish records that they have transcribed. These are done to help other members. They have nothing to do with Free BMD or Parish records.

If you post the example you gave on the lookup request forum,someone with access to Ancestry might be able to help.

Thanks for your input but we know that Mary Lucas was born in Salford Lancashire and died there.
