    Default AVATAR ?

G'day all. Too damn hot here today. About 35c.

How do I insert a Avater into my accounts ? I have been to 'edit avatar' but, do not like those on the list. Prefer to choose my own.

I used to have the West Australian flag on my mails. That disappeared following the change of this sites format.

    Jimbo ....... still sweating !

Hi Raven. If Scotland had had more sunshine & warmth. I would never have left the old country. My last visit to relatives there was when I was 15. I stayed in "Old Reekie" but, toured as far as Stirling, Loch Lomond & Glassgie. All by SMT & train. It was cheap then.

I saw Hib's & Hearts play @ Easter Rd & Tyncastle. That was the time of the great Laurie Reilly & Gordon Smith. Memories I still treasure.

Sorry about the Avatars as they give the insight of a Members personality.

    Regards ...... Jimbo.

Hi Kelly. If that is the case it must have ocurred during the change over early in the year. My avater then was a piccy of the W.A State flag, with a black Swan on it.

Being a pensioner, our Dollar is less than half value of your Pound. So you can see that at 10 pounds a year I would have to pay $ 24-00. Now you know why we Aussie's go for free sites. It's not because of my Scots & Irish ancestors.

Plus, my P/C is about to go 'Kaput'. It has taken me 2 hours to get AA site to come up.

    Have a merry Christmas. Jimbo

Amen, Jimbo. To put it into perspective a bit more. Brits can spend a pound as quickly as we can spend a dollar. It's just that the pound costs us roughly $2 which doubles our cost of living should we visit Britain but makes it attractive for visitors to Oz. Mind you, a Yorkshireman visited our Nestle plant late 08. I asked him was he staying on for a look around as it was his first visit.....'No, too dear!!!!' I couldn't work that out at all. A canny Scot would have seen the value. First Yorkshireman I have ever met, so I can't generalise, guess there are dills everywhere. A mate returned home from Ireland for the first time in 20 years and I caught up with him on New Years Eve. Traded his Euros for $'s, drinking like a man with an Irish thirst. The conversion rate was so good it was a case of 'Why was God so unkind? Two hands and only one mouth.' Two drunks at the end of the night for the cost of one.

A cousin plans a trip to London, Manchester and Cornwall in 09. She has been advised to budget $30,000 for five weeks for two of them. I could buy a decent late model 2nd hand car for that.

    Regards, Laurie
