Hi David,
I don't know why you recevied an mhtml file.
I have just gone and exported my tree from Ancestry and received a gedcom. To open it I had to go to where I had saved it, right click on it and click on Properties. Where you see Open with click on Change and browse your programs till you see Legacy and then click and okay. You should then be able to open it..
Hope this helps

Hi David,
If you have not added anything to your ancestry tree since you last exported, go to the disc image by (download gedcom).
If you have added, you will need to start from the beginning of the export process.
- Right click on the "download GEDCOM" link.
- Select "Save Target As..."
- A new window will appear asking where you want the file to save on your computer.
Please select a place you know will be able to find the file such as "Desktop".
Ahhhhh
Thanks guys - done it
Very obscure having to right click the link - wierd
Hi David,
It took me a while to get used to it too. I can see why they changed it though. You can now get both each time.
