Still no joy. I logged out of Ancestryaid.co.uk then logged back in again, no problem.

When I go to the new Family Tree page, it asks me to log-in using my Ancestryaid user name and password, when I try to do this, I am told I am using either an incorrect user name, or an incorrect password

Where am I going wrong.

Brummie.

edited to say that it was all my fault. I now feel like a right chump.

Hi Brummieboy,

You have to be logged into AA,
Click the tree maker,
Then click register, all you have to do is supply a password.

Its that simple and your in but you have to register for it first

Hi All,

If you happen to come across a problem with the tree maker (or any other system on AA) then please contact me in a polite manner. There is no need for this:

I uploaded the gedcom and your system cannot find any names !!! What a mess!!! Your system fails in every way! Cheers from down under RH
I am now at the end of my tether with ungrateful people thinking they can speak to me in anyway they please. I get this type of messages all the time and refuse to be polite about it anymore. I did not spend hours upon hours and a few THOUSAND pounds getting this system to work and provide it to everyone for FREE for them to act in such a childish and selfish manner (I edited that as I started to swear ).

From now on I will simply ban these members from the site for life, as I have just done with Marlin1945.

Gripe over!

sorry to hear and see this Jon...

common courtesy and politeness costs nothing.... You are quite right to deal with ungrateful people in this way...

You have done an enormous amount of work with this site and for some people to resort to rudeness is not acceptable.

Just to say that i had a few problems getting on to the tree but i have just finished putting my tree on and its great. I was trawling a few forums earlier today (nothing to do with this forum) and some one had bothered to make rude comments regarding a persons spelling, the fact that the person was offering his help had gone unnoticed. I am amazed at the number of rude people who actually bother to post these comments instead of being more constructive and contributing in a more helpful way. going back to my tree!!!

Totally uncalled for! What a rude and insensitive person.

There was really no need for that persons rudeness. The Family Tree is excellent (I can say that now that I have managed to download my gedcom )

Well done jon.
